The Spotty Dog's ears have been up listening for the new Ben Lee CD to drop here in the USA. On the new CD entitled Ripe Lee moves away from the Indie sound somewhat in order to find a mainstream following.
It's still is a good CD worth shelling out a few bones for and a good start to the fall music sound.
Tracks you should check out include: Just Say Yes, What would Jay-Do? and Love Me like the Work is Ending.
Enjoy,
Th Spotty Dog

Shameless plug for a good cause
Hey y'all, don't want to take my nightly run without passing on a link you should know about. There is a group of great independent music stores across the country that are trying to fight the good fight and keep the local music store alive and well and out of the hands of big box chains. Please check out the Coalition for Independent Music Stores (http://www.cimsmusic.com) and you can find a lot of new artist before anyone else.
Well, gotto go out and chase the cat across the road. Catch y'all later.

End of summer muisc recap
Evening y'all, hope you are enjoying the last blast of summer heat. This dog has been staying on the hunt for some good music to share here for the rest of the pack. For you alt-pop fans KT Tunstall released a new CD this week and it is getting good reviews from the folks that know about such things.
For those of you that like to be ahead of the curve might want to try Animal Collective and their new set called Strawberry Jam. Tracks to check out include Peachbone and Fireworks. You might also want to check out Okkervil River and their latest The Stage Names.
You might also want to check out these old bones that are worth a second chew. R.E.M. Automatic for the People, Purple from Stone Temple Pilots, and if the dog has an eye for spotting music trends then early punk is on the way back in for the fall. Might want to check you older brothers vinyl for the Sex Pistols and the Clash.

Happy Monday
Been given the New Rilo Kiley Under The Black Light a listen and like it a lot! Also, like the new New Pornographers and my favorite Spoon and their new CD Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga.
Looking forward to the new Jimmy Eat World and the Foo Fighters.
Take care, check back for some more reviews.
